Official release of the Summer 2009 Collection: “BORN TO RUN.”
(CLICK THE ABOVE PHOTO TO VIEW THE SUMMER 09 LOOKBOOK.) Finally, we have arrived. To the self-titled “Annoyed” and “Impatient” followers today I hope that I can make up for the wait. After much seemingly uneeded, but unfortunately necessary waiting, drama, and delays the Summer 09 Collection has finally released into the public domain. The Lookbook for this season came together in absolute epic fashion due to the amazing work of Tone (!). Thanks to a recommendation from the brother Marty, Tone arrived just in time like a savior from left field to offer his skills behind the camera for the viewing pleasure of you, myself, and anyone else in the omniverse who may come across these photos. Tone is a rare sort of character in the best way possible. The kind of person who is so utterly straight forward and honest in his work that the work itself really ceases to be a task and just becomes a natural series of actions that one undergoes not out of necessity, but out of true passion and desire to create an original product. Tone has taken photographs of everyone from Kid Cudi to Wyclef Jean and every single random New Yorker and upcoming rapper in between. He is humble about his work so should you ever find yourself face to face with the man make sure that you shake his hand and let him know job well done. Pleasure to work with you brother.
If you didn’t already click over to the Lookbook and you are still actually reading than I guess I’ll continue to rabmle for a little while longer while I still have a few people’s attention. It’s always an interesting process as a new season releases. I’ve personally been staring at these designs for the past three months so as far as the actual items themselves go, I still enjoy them, but after folding 400 t-shirts, I am more than content to see them shipped into all of your capable hands. The fact remains however, that each collection is a personal extension of myself into the clothing. That means that every comment, remark, and reaction that I hear about the line resonates on some level with me. Your guys support makes it all worth while as corny as that may sound it means alot to have a thousand of you check in every day to watch the progress and growth of the brand. There are a ton of things in store for the future and we are glad to have you as a part of the family as we grow up as a brand ourselves. The Corner Store will running as soon as possible.
